If a user clicks on a link to another site, the administrator can view in Analytics stats the origin of the user or the domain/referrer. Sometimes, you may not want the other website to know where your traffic is coming.
WWhy hide referrer websites?
We won’t go into details about why we want to hide the referrer site. We created this service to protect our affiliate generating pages from our competitors and partners. It can take some time to find niches that can generate leads in affiliate marketing. This information must be protected in order to prevent others from copying it too soon and competing against you. One solution was to remove the referrer site.
This service is fast and completely free!
How to Use
The steps below will help you make use of the hide referrer program.
- copy the following link: “http://iwebz365.us/hide/?http://www.mywebsite.com“
- edit the “http://www.mywebsite.com” part with the link towards the website you are linking to and you do not want to be shown as referrer (it can be either a domain home page or a deep link / affiliate link; make sure to include the http or https as well)
- Paste the link into a blog post or on other websites. Every time someone clicks on the link, they will be redirected directly to the desired link without having to transfer the referring website information.
